Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 09-11 dated June 11, 2009 for reasons listed below.
^ The vehicle anti-theft alarm activates its audible sound without theft attempt.
^ A DTC for one or several door handle sensors is stored in the Access and Start Permission control unit (address word 05).
^ In the Convenience System Central Module control unit (address word 46), the following values are present:
Value 2 (no communication) in Measuring Value Block 18 - last alarm trigger.
Value 12 (Intelligent Siren) in Measuring Value Blocks 21, 22, 23, 24 - last alarm source.
This condition does not result in compromised anti-theft protection.
The signal of the door handle sensor(s) prevents communication between the Convenience System Central Module control unit and the alarm horn.
Optimized door handle sensors.
Using Guided Fault Finding, verify that the wiring to the indicated door handle sensors is good.
If the wiring is correct, replace the affected door handle sensor(s).
