Front Three-Point Seat Belt with Belt Tensioner

‹› Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components, refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions.

‹› Follow the disposal regulations for pyrotechnic components => [ Pyrotechnic Restraint System Component Disposal ] See: Seat Belt

Tensioner/Service Precautions.

Switch the ignition on.

-

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. Refer to.

Remove upper B-pillar trim => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement.

Remove the lower B-pillar trim => [ Lower B-Pillar Trim ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement. 

-

Remove the front belt anchor => [ Front Belt Anchor ]. 

-

Thread belt webbing out of upper B-pillar trim.

CAUTION!
Before handling belt tensioner units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity ".
This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Releases the connector retainers - 2 - using a small screwdriver then disconnect the belt force limiter connector - 1 - and belt tensioner igniter 1 - 3

Disconnect and free up the wire on the automatic belt retractor.

Remove the front belt guide - 3 - => [ Front Seat Belt Guide ].
