Remove the oil pan bolts in the sequence - 13 to 1 - (opposite the tightening sequence).

-

Remove the oil pan.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Pan, Filter and Mechatronic Assembly Overview ] See: Valve Body/Service and Repair/0B6A

Transmission/Oil Pan, Filter and Mechatronic Assembly Overview. 

‹› Replace gaskets.

‹› Replace the oil pan bolts.

‹› With high mileage vehicles, replace the oil filter when the oil pan is removed. Refer to => [ Oil Filter ] See: Fluid Filter - A/T/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/0B6A Transmission. Otherwise the oil filter must be replaced only if it is damaged.

Clean all magnets in the depressions of the oil pan. Ensure that the magnets are in full contact with the oil pan.

Thoroughly clean the sealing surface, removing the residual gasket material completely.

Install the 4 guide pins (T40199) in locations -  10, 11, 12, and 13 - with the oil pan removed.

‹› The guide pins (T40199) center the gasket and the oil pan. This ensures the oil pan is sealed correctly.

-

Slide the new gasket and oil pan over the guide pins (T40199 ).

-

Tighten the new oil pan bolts in the sequence - 1 to 9 -. 

-

Remove the 4 guide pins (T40199).

-

Install the remaining bolts in sequence - 10, 11, 12, and 13 -.

-

Install the subframe cross brace.

-

Install tunnel crossmember. Refer to => [ Tunnel Crossmember ] See: Transmission Mount/Service and Repair/0B6A Transmission/Tunnel
