‹› Loosen the clamping screw approximately one turn, do not remove it.
‹› Clamping screw is only accessible with the selector lever in the " D" position.
‹› Selector lever must remain in the "D" position while clamping screw is loose.

Carefully move selector lever lightly forward and back without shifting into another selector position, this releases the tension on the selector lever
cable.

Shift selector lever into the "Tiptronic gate".

Tighten the clamping screw in this position with the socket and key (T40031) without touching the selector lever.

Check shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism, Checking ] See: Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
If shift mechanism does not function properly after adjusting selector lever cable:

Bring selector lever cable into basic setting. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Bringing into Basic Setting ] See: Shift Linkage/Shift
