Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Extractor (T40176)

‹› Grease for clutch disc shaft splines (G 000 100 )

Removing

‹› The transmission is secured on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095). Refer to => [ Securing Transmission to Engine and Transmission

Holder ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/0B6A Transmission/Securing Transmission to Engine and Transmission Holder.

Remove left drive flange. Refer to => [ Left Flange Shaft ] See: Differential/Differential Output Shaft/Service and Repair/Left Flange Shaft.

Secure the extractor (T40176) on the torque converter - A - using the nut - B -.

Rotate the extractor (T40176) upward. 

‹› To prevent the torque converter from tilting, counter hold it underneath as illustrated.

‹› Pay no attention to - arrow -.

Remove the torque converter from the input shaft - arrows  -.
