Install the Adapter (VW 771/40) in the drive pinion threaded hole.

Secure the Retainer (3028) on the flange/driveshaft using the bolts (M 8 x 30) - A arrows -.

Secure the Puller (VW 391) using the bolt (M 8 x 45) - B arrow -. Rotate the Puller spindle in the Adapter (VW 771/40).

Pull the flange/driveshaft in as far as the stop while counterholding the Puller spindle using a socket wrench.

Install the circlip - arrow -.
