Front Information Display Control Head Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

The Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) is located behind the glove compartment on the left side.

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

-

If control module is replaced, select the function "Replace " of respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding". 

Use Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

-

Remove the glove compartment. 

-

Disconnect harness connectors - 4 -, - 5 -, MOST Bus and FBAS wire from Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) - 2 -.

-

Attach the protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the harness connector of the MOST Bus - 2 -.

-

Unscrew bolts - 1 - and - 3 - (3 Nm) and remove Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) - 2 -.
