Antenna Amplifier: Service and Repair

Rear Lid Antenna Wire, Replacing 

-

The antenna wires from Antenna Amplifier 2 R111 (spoiler) and Antenna Amplifier 3 R112 (right rear window) to Antenna Amplifier R24
integrated into wiring harness to rear lid.

-

As of the loop at Motor (in rear lid control module 2) V376, wiring harness consists of antenna wires and rear window wiper system corrugated
tube.

-

If antenna wire or corrugated tube is faulty, wiring harness must be replaced.

-

It is not possible to replace individual antenna wires.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Adapter 1J0 955 875 after TAB.106.104

-

Adapter 1J0 955 875 R after TAB.106.104.A

approx. 70 mm Heat Shrink Sleeve 000 979 992

Collection receptacle

Removing 

NOTE: 

-

To make process easier, take photographs or sketches of wiring harness routing.

-

Especially observe the specified fasteners.

-

Remove rear lid trim.

-

Remove spoiler.

-

Remove headliner.

-

Place collection receptacle below.

CAUTION:  Washer fluid hose may still be filled with fluid. 

-

Disconnect washer fluid hose - 1 - from rear window wiper motor.

-

Unclip wiring harness - 2 - from retainers - arrows -.
