Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair
Mechanical Vacuum Pump

Mechanical Vacuum Pump

Removing

-

Remove intake manifold.

-

Remove cylinder head cover => [ Cylinder Head Cover ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service
and Repair.

-

Free up electrical wiring harness.

-

Disconnect vacuum line - A -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Carefully remove vacuum pump from cylinder head.

‹› If the sealing ring is still on the input shaft, it must be removed and placed on the vacuum pump.

‹› A new vacuum pump is delivered with a sealing ring; 2 rings cannot be installed.

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications => [ Mechanical Vacuum Pump, Assembly Overview ] See: Mechanical Vacuum Pump, Assembly Overview.
