Removing
Proceed as follows:

Removing engine => [ Engine, Removing ] See: Service and Repair/Engine, Removing.

To separate engine and transmission: => [ Engine and Transmission, Separating ] See: Service and Repair/Engine and Transmission, Separating.

Fasten the engine on the engine and transmission holder => [ Engine and Transmission, Securing to Holder ] See: Service and Repair/Engine and
Transmission, Securing to Holder.

Remove cylinder head cover => [ Cylinder Head Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair.

On a vehicle with automatic transmission, remove drive plate => [ Drive Plate ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flex Plate/Service and
Repair/Drive Plate.

Remove oil pan => [ Oil Pan ] See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Pan.

Remove camshaft timing chain from camshafts => [ Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing from Camshafts ] See: Camshaft Timing Chains,
Removing From Camshafts.

Remove timing chain lower cover => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] See: Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Lower Timing Chain Cover.

Mark camshaft timing chain running direction with arrows using paint - upper arrow - for reinstallation.
CAUTION!
Risk of damaging timing mechanism drive chain.
‹› Do not mark timing mechanism with a chain punch, notch or something similar.

Adjust crankshaft at vibration damper bolt in direction of engine rotation to "TDC" marking.
