‹› Protective glasses
‹› Sealant
Removing

Remove intake manifold.

Remove cylinder head cover => [ Cylinder Head Cover ] See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair.

If present, remove mechanical vacuum pump => [ Mechanical Vacuum Pump ] See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum
Pump/Service and Repair/Mechanical Vacuum Pump.

Disconnect electrical connector - arrow - on after-run coolant pump (V51).

Remove bolts - 1 -.
‹› Ignore - 2 and 3 -.

Mark and disconnect electrical connectors:
