Service

Update the instrument cluster (J285) and/or the engine control module (J623) using the SVM Action Code as listed in the table below.

NOTE:  Not all vehicles will require both software updates. Please check the current software version using Guided Fault Finding or Vehicle Self
Diagnosis to determine if software update(s) are needed. Then proceed with the appropriate table below for SVM Action Code.

TIP:

-

Midline instrument clusters have a red, monochromatic display. Highline instrument clusters have a full color center display.

If the ECM software is already up to date, SVM will only update the IP cluster.

TIP:  TIP SVM Process must be completed in its entirety so the database receives the update confirmation response. A warranty claim may not be
reimbursed if there is no confirmation response to support the claim.
