Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

Light Switch, Removing And Installing 

Removing 

CAUTION:

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Switch ignition off and remove ignition key. 

-

Turn light switch to "0" position.

-

Use screwdriver to pry off cover on left of instrument panel - arrow -.

-

If present, remove screw - 1 - and remove air duct - 2 -.

-

Reach through opening over side instrument panel vent and press light switch - 1 - out of instrument panel - arrow -.

-

Disconnect connector.

Installing 

Install in reverse order, observing the following:

-

Press switch into instrument panel until lock mechanism engages.

Tightening torque 
Air duct to air channel: 1.4 Nm
