Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

The Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) is located behind instrument panel cover on driver's side, left at crossmember.

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

-

If control module is replaced, select the function "Replace " of respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding". 

Use Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

-

Remove upper instrument panel cover on driver's side.

-

Remove bolt - 3 - (4 Nm) and remove Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) - 2 -. 

-

Disconnect all harness connectors - 1 - at Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) -  2 -.

-

Attach the protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the harness connector of the MOST Bus - 2 -.
