Attach sticker for deactivated side airbags on front door frame.

If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle
Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 B, cleared and then rechecked.

Switched Off Rear Airbag Sticker, Attaching

-

Attach side airbag switched-off sticker - 1 - left and right at - arrow - on rear door frame - 2 -.

-

If several stickers must be attached in a particular country, place these over stickers marked in illustration.

Perform rear side airbag deactivation program in "Guided Fault Finding". The respective adaptation program must be carried out.

Fill out registration card and send to Audi of America for registration. Place page 3 of registration card in customers vehicle wallet.

Switching On

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 B

CAUTION:  Note safety precautions for working on airbags and side airbags.

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Disconnect battery ground wire.

CAUTION:  Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically
discharge". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove left or right 2nd row seat cushion.
-

Seat beach (two-thirds bench)

-

Individual seat

NOTE:  Left and right side airbags can we switched on individually.

One connection each is found at left and right below 2nd row seat bench.
