Removing
CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

Switch off ignition.

Disconnect battery ground wire

Open hood.
CAUTION: Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically
discharge". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Release connector - 3 - by pressing fitting on connection in direction of crash sensor - 2 -.

Remove connector - 3 - from crash sensor - 2 -.

Remove bolts - 1 -.

Remove front airbag crash sensor - 2 -.
Installing
CAUTION:

Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically discharge". This can
be done by touching door striker, for example.

Install crash sensor - 2 - in reverse order of removal.

When connecting connector - 3 - , ensure this engages correctly with crash sensor - 2 -.
NOTE:

Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

Ensure wires are not pinched.
CAUTION: Contrary to description under, battery MUST BE disconnected to remove airbag with ignition switched on. Ignition must be
on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (e.g. airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy
unintentionally after connecting battery. Maintain personal safety when connecting the battery by staying out of airbag deployment
