Checking Securing Pieces After An Accident

All damaged securing pieces must be replaced, you cannot reshape components or "force-fitting".

Following components must be checked after every airbag deployment.

With a passenger airbag deployment:

Central tube for instrument panel; supports for front passenger-side airbag and front passenger-side airbag must be installed free of tension.
Otherwise central tube is to be replaced also.

Check glove compartment for damage, replace glove compartment if damaged.

With a driver airbag deployment:

-

Steering wheel; remove steering wheel and place it with steering ring on a flat surface, entire surface of steering ring must make contact.
Otherwise, steering wheel must be replaced.

Check steering wheel for smoke marks, steering wheel must be replaced if smoke marks are present.
