Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS), Passenger Airbag Deactivation Procedure After An Accident (USA Only)

A RE-ZERO procedure must be performed on seat occupied recognition control module after each airbag or passenger belt tensioner deployment.

If seat rails or seat pan are replaced after an accident due to deformation, Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS) must be replaced by service
kit. Then basic setting and RE-ZERO must be performed on seat occupied recognition control module.
