Outer 2nd Row Three-point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing

CAUTION:  Follow safety precautions for working with pyrotechnic belt tensioners.

Removing

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Disconnect battery ground wire.

Vehicles with fixed second row

-

Remove corresponding second row seat.
-

Seat beach (two-thirds bench).

-

Individual seat.

Vehicles with fore and aft adjustable second row

-

Move second row seat forward on side to be removed.

Procedure for all vehicles

-

Remove wheel housing liner - 2 - by removing screw - 1 - for belt webbing - 3 - from body.

-

Remove C-pillar trim.

Vehicles with air duct in C-pillar

-

Remove screw - arrow - at belt guide.

-

Remove air duct - A -.

Vehicles with pyrotechnic belt tensioners

CAUTION:  Before handling belt tensioner units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically
discharge". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.
