Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386, Removing and Installing
Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386, Removing And Installing
NOTE: Installed only in vehicles with "Comfort" version A/C system
Removing
-
Remove instrument panel.
-
Remove retaining plate with Left Temperature Flap Motor V158 and Right Footwell Flap Motor V109.
-
Remove retaining plate with Right Center Vent Motor V111 and Right Side Vent Motor V300.
-
Disconnect connector - B - from Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386 - A -.
-
Rotate Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386 - A - approx. 90 degrees in direction of arrow.

Remove Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386 - A - from heating A/C unit.
Installing
-
Check O-ring seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.

Insert Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386 - A - on proper side into heating A/C unit mount - E -.
NOTE: An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Right Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G386 fits without play in mount - E -.

Connect connector - B - to Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor G385 - A - and check routing of wire - E -.

Install retaining plate with Right Center Vent Motor V111 and Right Side Vent Motor V300.

Install retaining plate with Left Temperature Flap Motor V158 and Right Footwell Flap Motor V109.

Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and erase DTCs displayed if necessary. Vehicle Diagnosis,
Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Perform basic setting (and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) if necessary) on the A/C system. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information
