Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor
Removing
-
Switch ignition off
-
Remove glove compartment.
-
Disconnect connector - A - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263).
-
Rotate Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263) - B - approx. 90° in direction of arrow.

Remove Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263) - B - from heating & A/C unit.
Installing
-
Check seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.

Insert Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263) - A - on proper side into heating & A/C unit mount - C -.
‹› An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263) fits without play in mount - E -.

Connect connector - B - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263)- A -.
-
Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase DTCs displayed if necessary.
