Fold carpet cut-out to side - arrow -.

Remove nuts -1 to 4 - and remove left locking flange cover.

Disconnect electrical harness connector -1 - at left locking flange.

NOTE:  Ignore - 2 -.

Connect multimeter between terminal - 2 - and - 3 - for resistance measurement.

Fuel Level Sensor 2 G169 installed:

-

Sensor at lower stop: 760 to 842 ohms.

-

Sensor at upper stop: 67 to 86 ohms.

NOTE:
-

If measured value is 0 ohm there is a short circuit. If measured value is infinity ohms there is and open circuit in the wiring.

To check "tank full" or "tank empty" resistance values, the Fuel Level Sensor 2 G169 must be removed and the sensor floater must be placed
in upper or lower end position.

-

With Fuel Level Sensor 2 G169 removed, the following values are obtained because of the greater deflection of the floater arm:

Fuel Level Sensor 2 G169 removed:

-

Sensor at lower stop: approx. 990 ohms.

-

Sensor at upper stop: approx. 51 ohms.

Assembly is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

-

Install locking flange cover.

-

Insert service tank access carpet frame in floor covering.

-

Install 2nd row left seat cushion.
