Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Kick-down Function, Adapting After Replacing Gas Pedal Module Or Engine Control Module (ECM)

NOTE:  If the throttle position sensor or engine control module is replaced in vehicles with automatic transmission, the kick-down function must be
adapted.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051B with Diagnostic Cable VAS5051/5A

Work procedure

-

Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051B connected to Data Link Connector (DLC) - arrow -.

-

Engine not running, ignition switched on.

-

No faults in DTC memory.

Display on VAS 5051B:

-

Tap Vehicle Self-Diagnosis button -1 - in selection.
