Air Suspension Strut

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Ring spanner insert AF 21 (T10212)

‹› Wood block (hardwood) 30 x 50 x 1300 mm

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› During assembly work, make sure that no indentations form on suspension strut (air suspension) boot!

With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] See: Service and
Repair/Procedures/Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

Remove wheel.

-

Insert wood block between underbody - Arrow A - and upper rear control arm - Arrow B -.

Wood block is needed to press wheel bearing housing down.

Disconnect connector - arrow 1 - for dampening adjustment valve.
