‹› Ignore bolt - 1 -, does not need to be removed to remove ATF cooler.

Seal ATF lines and ATF cooler - 4 - with clean plugs.

Remove ATF cooler - 4 -.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Torque specifications: => [ ATF Lines, Thermostat and Cooler, Assembly Overview ] See: ATF Lines, Thermostat and Cooler, Assembly Overview

Replace O-ring - 3 - and coat with ATF.

Remove plugs, completely insert ATF lines - 2 - in ATF cooler - 5 -.

Tighten union nuts - 4 - while counterholding at ATF cooler.

Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) level, checking and topping off => [ ATF Level, Checking and Filling ] See: Fluid - A/T/Service and

Test ATF line connections for leaks and check.
‹› Because ATF lines from ATF thermostat to ATF cooler were opened, a " ventilation road test" must be performed after ATF check. Afterward, an

‹› ATF coolant circuit can only bleed if ATF temperature is above 75°C and the thermostat to ATF cooler opens.
