Remove hex nut for flange / driveshaft.
A 2 Bolts M10 • 25
When loosening the nut of the flange/driveshaft, counterhold using counterholder (3435) (2nd technician).

Mark installation position of flange/driveshaft - arrow A - relative to drive pinion - arrow B -.

Remove driveshaft flange. Use a slide hammer (VW 771) if it is difficult.

Remove shaft seal.
