Air Bag Deactivation Indicator: Service and Repair

Front Passenger Airbag Disabled Indicator Lamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hook 3438 (2x)

Removing

NOTE:  The instrument panel vent has a hole - arrow A - on both sides to engage Hooks 3438.

-

Position lamellae of instrument panel vent horizontally.

-

Carefully pull instrument panel vent - 1 - out of installation opening - arrow B - using Hooks 3438 on both sides.

-

Unplug connector.

-

Slide switch strip - 1 - out of decorative trim with instrument panel vent - arrow -.

NOTE:  If LED is faulty, Front Passengers Airbag Disabled Indicator Lamp K145 switch strip must be completely replaced.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Press switch strip into switch housing until lock mechanism engages.
