Windshield Wiper Motor with Front Passenger Windshield Wiper Motor Control Module

General information

The front windshield wiper system consists of two mechanically independent systems. Each wiper arm is operated by a separate motor. The wiper
motor control modules ensure the wipers move together.

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Service Precautions.

Removing

-

Remove wiper arms. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Arm/Service and Repair.

Remove the luggage compartment seal - 2 - in the bumper trim area.

Loosen the quick-release fasteners - 1 and 4 -.

-

Pull the bumper trim - 3 - up - arrow A -. This releases the retaining tabs - arrows -.

-

Remove the rubber strip - 2 -.

-

Loosen the quick-release fasteners - arrows -.

-

Remove the headlamp/wheel housing trim - 1 - from the retaining groove in the luggage compartment liner and guide it out at the front lid hinge.
