Audi Magnetic Ride Shock Absorber, Venting and Emptying

Clamp the magnetic ride shock absorber horizontally in the vise. 

CAUTION!
Wear protective eyewear while drilling.

-

Make first hole -  1 - dia. 2 mm in the outer shock absorber tube.

Dimension - A - = 10 mm ± 5 mm

‹› Gas escapes during drilling (approximately 25 bar).

Make second hole dia. 5 mm -  3 - in the outer shock absorber tube.

Dimension - B + C - = 120 mm ± 5 mm

Hold the shock absorber over an appropriate container for catching oil and move the piston rod repeatedly through the entire stroke until no more
oil flows out.
