Press tensioning rail in direction of - arrow - and secure chain tensioner with Locking Pin (T40071). 

-

Remove bolt - 1 - and remove power take-off drive sprocket.

‹› When removing, be careful of spring in drive spur gear shaft.

Remove bolts - 2 to 4 - and remove chain tensioner. 

-

Remove power take-off drive chain.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Replace gaskets.

Install lower timing chain cover. Refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Lower
Timing Chain Cover.

Install the transmission-side crankshaft shaft seal. Refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Transmission Side ] See: Seals and Gaskets/Crankshaft Main
Bearing Seal/Service and Repair.

Install oil filter housing. Refer to => [ Oil Filter Housing ] See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Cooler/Service and Repair/Oil Filter Housing.

Install intake manifold.

Install left and right timing chain covers. Refer to => [ Left and Right Timing Chain Covers ] See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and
Repair/Left and Right Timing Chain Covers.

Install dual-mass flywheel. Refer to => [ Dual Mass Flywheel ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Flywheel/Service and Repair/Dual Mass
Flywheel.

Install clutch pressure plate.

-

After installing the engine, fill with oil and check the oil level. 

Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Power Take-Off Drive Chain Assembly Overview ] See: Power Take-Off Drive Chain Assembly Overview.
