Combination Switch: Service and Repair

Removing

Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM). Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Module ] See: Steering Column Switch Module.

Disconnect electrical harness connector at induction coil.
Vehicles with automatic transmission:

Shift selector lever into "P" position.

Turn ignition key to "Ignition ON" position - arrow -.

Then raise locking bracket - 1 - slightly and remove locking cable - 2 - from ignition lock housing.

‹› To remove lock cylinder, replacement key without illumination and without radio function is necessary because removal is only possible using a
key with flat grip.

Turn replacement key to "Ignition ON" position, cut out in trim - arrow - aligns with hole in ignition lock.
‹› The correct lock position without the key is shown in the illustration.

Insert steel wire or pin (dia. approximately 1.5 mm) in hole - 1 - to stop and then remove lock cylinder - 2 - with induction coil from steering lock
