About the S4
The S4 is the high-performance version of Audi's compact executive car. The first S4 (1991–1994) was based on the Audi 100; every S4 since the B5 of 1997 has been based on the A4. All have quattro all-wheel drive as standard. The B6 and B7 had a 4.2-litre V8, the first V8 in a compact executive car.
