Unclip cover -3-.

-

Remove bolts -2- torque = 5 Nm (44 in. lb).

-

Open ashtray cover -5- and lift ashtray up and out.

-

Remove nut -6- torque = 10 Nm (7 ft lb) vehicles without armrest.

-

Vehicles with armrest remove 3 nuts holding armrest bracket.

-

Pull up parking brake lever, lift rear center console -1- slightly and detach from front center console at front.

-

Lift rear center console -1- toward front over parking brake lever and remove.

Remove cigarette lighter assembly from center console as follows.

-

Remove two bolts -1- holding lighter assembly to console. torque = 1.5 Nm (13 in. lb).

-

Remove lighter assembly from console.

Remove lighter element as follows:

-

Turn assembly over and using trim removal wedge (tool No.3409), push lighter element in until door opens.

-

Remove lighter element.

-

Close lighter door.

-

Turn assembly over.

From the bottom side of assembly.
