Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft lb)

Pull steering column downward until steering lock housing can be removed.

WARNING!

Do not re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Many fasteners are designed to be used only once and become unreliable
and may fail when used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, self-locking nuts or bolts, circlips and cotter
pins. Always follow recommendations given in this publication. Always replace these fasteners with new parts.

Remove ignition and starter switch from steering lock housing.

Drill one 3 mm hole approx. 1.5 mm (0.06 in.) deep in steering lock housing at location shown.

9.0 mm (0.35 in.)

12.0 mm (0.47 in.)

CAUTION!
DO NOT drill into housing too deep. Steering lock housing is only approx. 2 mm (0.08 in.) thick. Excessive drilling will cause lock cylinder
damage.

Push down retaining spring through hole (arrow -A-) using a punch or similar tool.

Pull lock cylinder (arrow -B-) from housing.
