Collision Avoidance Module: Service and Repair

Rearview Camera System Control Module

The Rear View Camera System Control Module (J772) is located behind the luggage compartment right front side trim. 

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051A) to do so.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

Open right luggage compartment storage bin.

The Rear View Camera System Control Module (J772) - 3 - is wedged into the bracket - 2 -. 

Remove the Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) - 1 - first, and then the bracket - 2 -.

The connectors on the Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) are not disconnected.

Remove the screws - arrows - and nuts - 5  -.

-

Remove the bracket - 2 - from the storage compartment in order to disconnect the connectors - 3 - and - 4  -.
