Impact Member, without Trailer Hitch

Removing

-

Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover ].  See: Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair/Rear Bumper Cover

Disconnect the electrical connector on the radio frequency controlled clock receiver (J489).

‹› If the impact bar is replaced - 3 -, remove the radio frequency controlled clock receiver (J489).

Remove the bolts - 1 - by counterholding the nuts - 2 -.

Remove the impact bar - 3 -.

Installation

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Impact Member Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair. 

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Install the rear bumper cover. Refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover ].  See: Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair/Rear Bumper Cover
