Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

‹› Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

CAUTION!
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (e.g. airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may
deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on. 

‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.

Perform the following tests after removing and installing the backrest adjustment motor and the switch unit:

‹› Calibration, performing, refer to => [ Switch Unit, Calibrating ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Standard Front Seat

with or without Memory Function. 

‹› Function Test, Performing, refer to => [ Function Test, Performing ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Standard Front

Seat with or without Memory Function

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Backrest Adjustment Motor, Switch Unit and Backrest Assembly Overview ] See: Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Standard Front Seat with or without Memory Function.
