Disconnect electrical connector - 2 - on Oil Level Thermal Sensor (G266).

CAUTION!
There is a risk of contamination.

‹› There is still a residual amount of oil in lower section of oil pan.

Remove bolts and carefully pry off the lower section of the oil pan - 1 -.

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications => [ Lower section of oil pan, tightening specifications and sequence ] See: Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Oil Pump and

Oil Pan Lower Section Assembly Overview

‹› Replace sealing rings.

CAUTION!
Risk of contaminating lubricating system and bearing.

‹› Cover open parts of engine.

CAUTION!
Risk of eye injury.

‹› Wear safety glasses.

Using rotating plastic brush, remove any remaining sealant from lower section of oil pan and upper section.
