Removing
The active steering control module (J792) is located in the footwell under driver seat.
Before removing control module, read out code using Guided Fault Finding in "Replace control module" function.

Loosen driver seat and slide it back with the wires connected.

Remove sill panel strip.

Remove footrest.

Disengage carpet and support it using a suitable block of wood - 6 -.

Remove nuts - 7 -.

Remove nuts - 1 - and remove ground (GND) wire - 2 - from threaded pin.

Carefully disconnect wiring harness clip connection - 3 - from bracket - 4 -.

Remove wiring harness connectors - 3 - from control module - 8 -.

Remove bolts - 5 - from control module - 8 - and remove bracket - 4 -.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
Follow the sequence when installing the control module:

Tighten bracket - 4 - with bolts - 5 - to control module - 8 - to 8 Nm.
