‹› When installing, make sure the bearing does not tilt.

Press bearing - 3 - into track control arm - 4 -.

Note installation depth marking when installing - arrow -. 

-

Check rim offset of bearing - 1 - in track control arm - 2 -.

Dimensions - a - and - b - must be identical. 

-

If dimensions - a - and - b - are different, press bearing - 1 - in more.

Install track control arm => [ Track Control Arm ] See: Service and Repair/Front Suspension/Track Control Arm.

On Subframe Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Thrust plate (VW 402)

‹› Thrust disc (VW 412)

‹› Assembly tool (3301)

‹› Assembly tool (3346)

‹› Assembly paste (G 052 109 A2)

‹› Hold track control arm firmly in position while pressing bearing out and in.

Bearing, Removing

Mark installation depth - arrow - on bearing - 3 -.
