2 - Dual-mass flywheel

‹› With transfer plate

‹› Make sure centering pins fit securely

‹› Contact surface for clutch lining must be free of grooves, oil and grease

‹› Removing and installing => [ Clutch Module ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Clutch Module

3 - Bolt

‹› 60 Nm

‹› For mounting the dual flywheel to the drive plate

‹› Quantity: 6 with 8 cylinder engines

‹› Always replace

4 - Clutch plate

‹› Removing and installing => [ SAC Pressure Plate with Single Disc Clutch ] See: SAC Pressure Plate with Single Disc Clutch.

‹› Installation position: Clutch disc lining must make full contact with flywheel

‹› "Getriebeseite" marking, if present, faces toward pressure plate or transmission

‹› Spring pack (coil springs) faces toward pressure plate or transmission 

5 - SAC pressure plate

‹› Adjusting ring, resetting => [ SAC Pressure Plate with Single Disc Clutch, Adjusting Ring Resetting ] See: Adjustments.

‹› Checking ends of the diaphragm spring => [ Checking Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] 

‹› Pressure plate, checking for distortion => [ SAC Pressure Plate, Checking for Distortion,

Cracks and Burn Marks ] 

‹› Check spring connection and rivet connections => [ Checking Spring Connection and Rivet Connections ] 

6 - Bolt

‹› 22 Nm + 90°

‹› Always replace

‹› For mount the pressure plate to the dual mass flywheel

‹› Loosen or tighten according to assembly instructions => [ SAC Pressure Plate with Single Disc Clutch ] See: SAC Pressure Plate with Single

Disc Clutch.
