Position the puller (T40160) and remove the selector rod - 1 -.

-

Remove the exhaust system heat shield below the shift mechanism. 

-

Remove the shift mechanism downward.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Tightening specifications:

=> [ Shift Knob and Boot Assembly Overview ] See: Shift Knob and Boot Assembly Overview

‹› Seals and self locking nuts must be replaced.

Install tunnel crossmember. 

-

Tighten the driveshaft on the transmission.

-

Reconnect exhaust system and ensure it is not under stress.

-

Install the rear noise insulation.

-
