Wheel Bearing Housing (Aluminum) and Control Arm (All Wheel Drive), Servicing

Wheel bearing housing (aluminum) and control arm (all wheel drive), servicing

Note:  If it should be necessary to move a vehicle whose drive axle has been removed, then before doing so install an outer joint in place of the drive
axle and tighten it to 115 Nm (M14 bolt) or 1.90 Nm (M16 bolt) or else wheel bearing will be damaged.

1. Brake caliper

Servicing

2. Bonded rubber bushing
3. Wheel bearing housing
4. Spherical cap bolts (4x) 80 Nm plus additional 90°

Always replace

5. Washer
6. Self-locking nut, 96 Nm

Always replace after disassembly 

7. Eccentric washer 
8. Eccentric bolt 
9. Brake disc

Notes for repairing

10. Hex bolt

Always replace after disassembly

^

Vehicle must not be raised when tightening 
Tightening torques: 
Bolt M14: 115 Nm plus additional 180° (1/2 -turn) 
Bolt M16: 190 Nm plus additional 180° (1/2 -turn)
