Four Hole - Two Spray Fuel Injector
The injectors are four (4) hole two (2) spray solenoid type injectors.
Each injector has its own connection pin at the Motronic control module. This allows the control module to recognize a fault in a single injector.
Power is supplied to the fuel injectors via a thermal fuse. The fuse is located in the electronic control box below the Motronic ECM. A separate output
stage (switching unit), located inside the Motronic control module, is provided for each fuel injector. The output stages are used to complete a ground
circuit for the injectors. Multiple output stages are necessary for sequential injection and fault diagnosis.
