Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

Shift lock solenoid, removing and installing, 09G, 6 Speed A/T

Removing 

-

Check whether a coded radio is installed. If so, obtain anti-theft code.

-

Shift selector lever into position "R".

-

With ignition switched off disconnect battery Ground strap.

-

Open cover of storage compartment - 4 - slightly.

-

Pry switch console - 1 - off upward and disconnect connectors - 2 -.

-

Press retaining tabs - 3 - forward carefully and remove storage compartment - 4 - upward.

-

Disconnect connector (arrow) from Shift lock solenoid - N110-.

Note:  The illustration shows the shift mechanism with the center console removed for ease of illustration.

-

Move selector lever to position "P".

-

Raise vehicle.
