Release electrical connector - 6 - on belt load limiter with a screwdriver - 8 -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector on belt load limiter.

Procedure for all vehicles

Remove bolt - 5 -.

-

Remove three-point seat belt - 4 - from mount.

Installing

CAUTION:

-

Follow safety precautions for working with pyrotechnic belt tensioners.

-

Before handling belt tensioner units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically discharge".
This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Insert belt tensioner with anti-twist mechanism - arrow 1 - in mount - arrow 2 -.

After installing passenger side three-point seatbelt, check belt function for child seat (for certain countries).
