Headlamp Alignment Control Module: Service and Repair

Headlamp Range Control Module

Removing

-

If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or Guided Functions
Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

Remove instrument cluster. Refer to => [ Instrument Cluster ] See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Cluster /
Carrier/Service and Repair/Instrument Cluster.

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove Headlamp Range Control Module (J431) - item 1 -.

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.

To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.

Installing

‹› Tightening specification, refer to => [ Automatic Headlamp Vertical Aim Control Assembly Overview ] See: Lighting and

Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Automatic Headlamp Vertical Aim Control Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Carrier/Service and Repair/Instrument Cluster.
