Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter

The fuel system without return flow on the Audi TT, the fuel pressure regulator sits in the fuel filter. In this system, only the supply line is routed forward
to the engine compartment. If pressure in the supply line rises above the specified pressure, the fuel pressure regulator opens. Excess fuel is routed into a
return line from the fuel filter and back into the fuel tank.
