Steering Angle Sensor: Adjustments
Steering angle sensor -G85-, zeroing
(ABS/ESP ITT Mark 20)

Switch engine on.

Carry out a brief road test on a level surface.

Drive straight-ahead and not faster than 20 km/h, note the following two points.

If the steering wheel is angled during road test, correct during vehicle alignment and place steering wheel on straight.

Perform zeroing.

If the steering wheel is level during the road test, stop the car.
Be sure not to dislodge steering wheel from center position. Do not switch ignition off.

Check the zero position using "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08, Display group number 4.
First perform "Login-Procedure" function 11 successfully using the VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST)

1. Check DTC memory (function 02)
2. Erase DTC memory (function 05)
3. End Output (function 06)
4. Switch ignition off.
5. Switch ignition on.
6. Then repeat zeroing.
