WARNING: Wheel alignment must be checked after installing steering box.
Notes:
-
Torque specifications; Refer to specifications.

When tightening pipes and hoses, make sure there is no possibility of contact or chafing on other components.

If reinstalling old power steering box;
-
Set up track rods of new steering box so they protrude equal lengths on both sides (straight - ahead position).

Do not connect the universal joint on the steering column to the steering pinion until the vehicle is standing on its wheels with the front wheels
in straight - ahead position.
Notes: New steering boxes are not supplied with track rods, boots or track rod ball joints.
Checking center position of steering box after replacing track rods/boot

Check distance - a - to make sure that steering box is in center position.
Notes:
-
On LED vehicles, check distance - a - on left side of steering box.

On RED vehicles, check on right side of steering box.
a- 33.5 mm; adjust if necessary by turning steering pinion.

Place steering box in subframe with guide sleeve - 1 - and tighten bolts by hand.
